Blue Mango - International press and Visitor reviews....
Blue Mango, Second Bay Road. More upmarket than the competition, these simply furnished, stylish one- or two-bedroom self-contained cottages have great bay views, cool breezes, kitchens, mosquito nets and plenty of privacy.
(The ROUGH GUIDE to Trinidad and Tobago - ISBN: 1 85828 747 2 )
Blue Mango resort in Tobago is the most perfect example of a fabulously guilt free, indulgent holiday in the Caribbean, a destination where it is hard to find an eco-sensitive, locally owned and stylish hotel. A beautiful lodge with rainforest on one side and the tropical Caribbean Sea on the other, it has a selection of timber-built cottages. Be prepared for the roar of the sea at night.

Best for Sunny Seclusion ... Blue Mango Cottages
Comfortable rather than luxurious, the gloriously eclectic, individually named cottages set in the rainforest around the beach at Castara Bay offer seclusion, charm and views with a capital V.
Sweet Point perched overlooking a vast sweep of sea has soft sea breezes and pastel mosquito nets.

Checking in - The Blue Mango hotel, Tobago
Wooden cabins sprouting out of rainforest above the Caribbean at the opposite end of the island to the big tourist hotels.
So relaxed the rustic rooms might fall into the sea and nobody would notice. Exotic animals mingle with the guests.
A place to relax and let the wildlife come to you without paying the exorbitant prices of some of the ecoadventure hotels. Not for those in need of pampering.

A truly natural beauty spot, what a wonderful place to start a whole new life together. We will always treasure the views, sunsets and sheer magnificence of Castara, the people, Blue Mango and especially Sweet Point.

We stayed in Sea Steps which had a marvelous, secluded heavenly hide-away on the edge of the sea. The owner was wonderfully charming, witty and dedicated to enhancing guests' stay. The accommodation standard was first class.

Many birds visited our balcony. It was the place to watch the sun set and the birds at dawn as the sun rose over the hills behind! The proprietor was very courteous, knowledgeable and helpful - particularly important if you want to organize trips, car hire, banks etc.

Castara is heaven and the Blue Mango is (located) just over the hill.
